CYMAX fabric is the multiaxial reinforcement (MAX) produced. It is used by stardard fibre system in carbon or E-glass. Stitched true multiaxial CYMAX fabrics are now well accepted and widely used as reinforcements. This is the most beneficial way of designing with fibres for the structural composite industries world-wide.

MAX is stitched fabric construction that provides the maximum available strength of high tenacity fibres in composites. This is ideally for laminate aiming at light weight and high strength applications. The fabric styles from Cymax fabric include unaxial (0°), biaxial (0°/90°, or +/-45°), triaxial (0°/+/-45°, or 90°/+/-45°) and quadriaxial (0°/90°/+/-45°). The weight range from 200 grams to 2,000 grams per square meter. There are 18 standard CYMAX E-glass products which have received Type Approval by Det Norsk Veritas of Norway.

Parallel reinforcement fibre plies are placed on top of each other in different multiaxial orientations as required in the later component. Chopped fibres, fibre mats and / or other materials can be added on the outer surfaces or inbetween the single plies. The whole reinforcement complex then is fixed by a loop system. Simple technology with lots of advantages.
